From today the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine will exercise functions and powers on the formation and implementation of state policy in organic production, circulation and labelling of organic products, food safety and certain indicators of food quality, quarantine and plant protection, veterinary medicine.
The relevant order was signed by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Solskyi.
Recall that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine according to the Resolution from February 9, 2022, No 115 transferred the powers for the formation and implementation of state policy in food safety and certain indicators of food quality, quarantine and plant protection, state policy in veterinary medicine, organic production and also circulation and labelling of organic products from the Ministry of Economy to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Since the formation of state policy is carried out by several ministries in areas where its implementation is ensured by the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumers Protection, the coordination of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumers Protection is carried out directly by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
